The red ribbon club is used as the symbol of the prevention of drunk and driving, drug prevention and also for fight against HIV-AIDS.Red Ribbon project was established by the New York visual AIDS artists’ caucus is 1991. It is a global symbol aiming at common fight against HIV & AIDS.Red Ribbon Club was started in our college with the objectives listed below:

OBJECTIVES
  • Educate youth correct, concise ad adequate information about AIDS and other related issues.
  • Eliminating myths and misconceptions.
  • Enable youth especially female students to identify and understand situations of exploitation and abuse.
  • Sensitize the youth regarding care and supporting needs.
  • Instill the spirit of helping and supporting the people suffering with AIDS and increase youths’ access to health care services.
  • Create poor education among the students to sensitize the community at large.
DAYS TO BE CELEBRATED

The Red Ribbon Club(RRC) will observe a number of international days, including:

  • 12th January: National Youth Day
  • 4th February: World Cancer Day
  • 14th June: World Blood Donor Day
  • 21st June: International Yoga Day
  • 26th June: International day against drug abuse
  • 12th August: International Youth Day
  • 1st December: World AIDS Day
