“Partition Horrors Remembrance Day “
SGGSCE Beghpur Kamlooh (Mukerian), organised a series of activities to commemorate Partition Horrors Remembrance Day and to sensitise students about the sufferings, sacrifices and hardships faced by people during the Partition of India in 1947.
Day 1 : 9 August 2026(Speech)
Students delivered speeches highlighting the history and impact of Partition. They shared their views on the sacrifices of the people and emphasised the importance of peace, unity, harmony and tolerance.
Day 2 :11 August 2026(Two Minutes Silence)
A Two Minutes Silence was observed in remembrance of the innocent lives lost during Partition. Students also presented poems expressing the pain, memories, resilience and hope associated with this tragic chapter of history.
Day 3 :12 August 2026(Poem Recitation)
A Poem Recitation Programme was organised in which students recited poems based on Partition, sacrifice, remembrance, peace and national unity. The activity provided students with a meaningful platform to express their thoughts and emotions through poetry.
The three-day programme witnessed active participation from students and staff and helped create awareness about the historical significance of Partition. The activities also encouraged students to value peace, unity, tolerance and communal harmony.
