SGGS College of Education organised “Basant Panchami”celebration on 22nd January, 2026 with vibrant hues & colours under the dynamic leadership of our Honourable Er.Parmjit Singh Sir( Founder, SGNDET, Dalewal), Honourable Er. Prabhjit Singh Sir( Chairman) , Worthy Mrs. Aravindar Kaur Madam ( Vice Chairperson ), Respected Mrs. Amandeep Kaur madam (Director) and Respected Principal Dr.Ranju Bala Madam. The event was started with the floral tribute to the Goddess Saraswati Ma & lighted the lamp of knowledge by principal, faculty members and students. The college choir performed a soulful College Shabad which set a peaceful, harmonious tone for the day and aimed to evoke blessings of knowledge and unity before the energetic performances began. After that, Students delivered speeches explaining the significance of Basant Panchami, presented a variety of dance performances that left the audience mesmerized. Also, recited beautiful poems capturing the essence of spring and devotion to Goddess Saraswati, enhancing the festive atmosphere and games related to creating knot and bridle to make kite fly. A very special cultural tradition “Kikli” performed by “Titlis “- beautiful Mutiyars creating a joyful, rhythmic spectacle. To address the critical issue of Chinese Manja during Basant Panchami, students performed awareness skit blends the festive spirit of Saraswati Pujawith a hard-hitting safety message. Respected principal mam, staff members and students dressed in shades of yellow, symbolizing the blooming mustard fields and the warmth of the spring season.
Esteemed Principal Dr. Ranju Bala addressed the gathering, enlightening everyone on the significance of the day. She encouraged the students to pursue knowledge and wisdom with the same brightness and energy that the yellow color symbolizes. The celebration culminated with the distribution of yellow-coloured Parshad . The day was a perfect blend of tradition, learning, and fun, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and optimism for the upcoming spring season.
